On April 3rd, our Smart Express Auckland team donated $250 to I AM HOPE. A fun way to raise money for kids’ mental health.
About Gumboot Friday
“Put your gumboots on, give a gold coin, and take a walk in their shoes for just one day.” This is the motto that the charity build this day around. The idea behind wearing gumboots is because “having depression is like walking through mud every day”.
Wearing gumboots can be an ice breaker and a fun way to talk about mental health. As well as raising money to provide free and timely counselling for any kid in need.
“100% of your donation goes to counselling for kiwi kids. All donations are deposited directly into the Kiwibank Gumboot Friday account. Kids (with the support of their adult supporters) can make an appointment directly with a counsellor or therapist that meets our criteria.” Click here to read more.
Smart Express Charity work
As a rapidly growing small to medium size business, we still have a key focus on helping our community. Especially when an opportunity presents itself to assist a charity who need our help! Take My Hands is another example of how we helped a charity in need of our moving services.
