For a medium-sized company, Smart Express Moving and Delivery is a company big on diversity. As a number of staff in the Smart Express team, Auckland is now their home.

In this month’s team spotlight, we feature our Team Leader, Lana Nayagar.

Lana’s family migrated to the fairer shores of Aoteroa from South Africa in 1987.

She has been with the company for over 3 years. Her experience and intimate knowledge of the business and our customers makes her a crucial part of the Smart Express operations.

Say hello to Lana who is one of our Team Leaders.

Lana and her team members AJ and Sara oversee the day-to-day coordination of deliveries for our key commercial customers including household names like Big Save Furniture, Morgan Furniture, Bunnings, Harvey Norman and Freedom Furniture to name just a few.

From setting up efficient processes, helping solve client queries and coordinating with our fleet of drivers all makes for a busy time in making sure things get done to the highest level of customer satisfaction.

For many customers, we are the final touchpoint for their customers in receiving their new household items or furniture. Representing some of NZ’s biggest names in furniture and homewares is something that the Smart Express team is very proud of.

Lana and her team are acutely aware of their responsibilities to deliver great customer service to our customers.

She is very thorough in what she does. She believes in fairness, and that we are all accountable for making sure we uphold the Smart Express values.
These qualities are among the reasons that Lana is our Team Leader and member of our Smart Express Team.

Fun facts about Lana.

In her spare time, you’ll find Lana playing Apex, or reading books about dragons and aliens. Some other interesting facts you may not know about her would be:

• She was the first person to get protein sequences for Kauri.
• She is a rugby armchair critic and has no hesitation challenging her male work colleagues on various aspects of the game. GO THE AB’s at this year’s WRC!
• She loves techno and pop music, not so much the old man rock that some in the office like to play all the time!
• She’s the person you really want on your quiz team because she knows a little bit about everything
