14 April 2020 update – You can now buy or sell essential items on Trade Me. Book Smart Express for Trade Me essential services deliveries for your next delivery. Following the Government’s latest guidance, anyone can now buy and sell essential items in the below approved essential categories during alert level 4. All Trade Me members must follow the NZ Government’s alert level 4 restrictions and the Trade Me COVID-19 safe trading guidelines when trading.

All pickup and deliveries are to be ‘contactless’ including payment.

• There will be no contact between our staff and the buyer and/or seller through the delivery process
• Items will need to be made available for pick up from outside the home (e.g front door, porch or open garage)
• Items will be delivered to the house but not inside the home ( front door, porch or open garage)
• Payment for our services will be in advance to avoid any customer contact. Our normal EFTPOS service is not available under Covid level 4
• Pre payment options can be discussed with our team at the time of booking inquiry
• Only items deemed as essential as empowered by the Government Covid 19 guidelines will be carried by our teams
• Smart Express reserves to decline any job we feel our staff are in any risk
• Smart Express staff are observing the required and expected measures for essential services including wearing gloves, masks and the use of hand sanitisers
