Our Director, Susan Spelman, was recently featured by the Auckland Business Chamber, highlighting her inspiring journey with Smart Express.
Susan, alongside her business partner Devan, founded Smart Express, specialising in moving, delivery, and logistics. Recognising the challenges of transitioning from experienced sales professionals to successful business owners, they sought mentorship from the Auckland Business Chamber. This mentorship provided critical insights and strategies, enabling Smart Express to achieve remarkable growth of 20% in their first year.
Encouraged by the Chamber, Smart Express participated in the Westpac Business Awards (now the 2degrees Awards), where they proudly won the Excellence in Customer Service award, a testament to their dedication and the impact of the Chamber’s support.
In addition to mentorship, the Chamber offered valuable practical resources through alliance partner discounts and employment connections, allowing Smart Express to reinvest savings into business development. Furthermore, networking opportunities and the Chamber’s inspirational Speaker Series have significantly expanded Smart Express’s customer and supplier relationships.
