1. How To Pack A First Night Box
Let’s face it, you’re never going to unpack everything in one day, and no one remembers where they put their toothbrush or pyjamas! Make sure you’re prepared for night 1 in the new place with your basics.
Your First Night Box should always be Loaded Last into the moving vehicle. You will want to do some cleaning before you start to unpack, so make sure you pack a basic cleaning kit including cloths, cleaning products, bleach, rubber gloves and rubbish bags to give your home a quick clean! Don’t forget to pack a toilet roll too, remember your new home won’t come with this.
2. Don’t forget to Label Boxes
Okay, so one of our best moving house tips, because we’ve all been there. All the boxes are packed up and safely arrived in your new house, but wait… which ones have the kitchen stuff in? Where is the bedding? Always write which room they belong in on the box, or even better COLOUR CODE! We recommend to pack the boxes for the same room together in the truck to make your move more smooth and this will also save either you or your house movers a lot of time.
3. Forgetting to Eat And Drink is one of our most valued moving tip
Yes, we included this house moving tip because a lot of people moving are in such a rush to get everything done that they forget to stay hydrated and nourished. Without food and water your body is going to be less efficient anyway, so why not take a 15 minute break to grab a bite to eat? This is a big one that people forget to do, however probably one of our most important house moving tips, as what’s more important than your health?
4. Did you forget to tell People That You’ve Moved?
We’ve all been there when someone else’s mail arrives at your house haven’t we? That person forgot to redirect their mail didn’t they? MOOVME does a great job at making this easy as. 5. Leaving Enough Clothes Out for your big day
Don’t pack up your entire wardrobe then live out of a box of creased and mixed up clothes for a week! Make sure you leave an appropriate number of clothes in your wardrobe to last until the big move. This is a very common thing to do as once people get into the packing mode, it’s difficult to stop!
