Weekly FAF rate – 6th April – 12th April 2026 – 34.14%.
Weekly FAF rate – 30th March – 5th April 2026 – 30.4%.
Weekly FAF rate – 23rd–29th March 2026 – 24.34%.
Fuel Adjustment Factor (FAF) is a standard industry fee, which recognises the changing cost of diesel.
Our FAF is calculated using a base index price (the average retail diesel price at March 2018 of $1.42). This is indexed against the latest available MBIE average diesel pricing data, combined with average live pump prices to better reflect our actual costing profile.
Any 1 cent variation in the index -/+ is multiplied by 0.15% to produce the FAF.
Should the average monthly diesel price fall below $1.42 then no FAF will be applied.
